Japan BoJ Interest Rate Decision
During its Monetary Policy Meetings, the Bank of Japan's Policy Board determines the interest rates that will be implemented. The discount rate is the official interest rate of the Bank of Japan. MPCs establish a recommendation for money market operations during inter-meeting times, and this guideline is written in terms of a goal for the uncollateralized overnight call rate.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the JPY while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the JPY.

Japan Exports Growth Softens On Higher Trade Tariffs
Japan's exports grew at a slower pace in April largely due to the higher tariffs imposed by the US administration, official data revealed Wednesday. Exports climbed 2.0 percent on a yearly basis in April, slower than the 4.0 percent increase in March, the Ministry of Finance reported.
