Private investment in Australia is defined as the change in Private Capital Expenditure from one quarter to the next. The following industries are included by the Capital Expenditure Survey conducted in Australia: Mining, Manufacturing, Electricity, Gas, Water, and Waste Services. Additional industries that are included are: Construction, Wholesale Trade, Retail Trade, Postage and Warehousing, Transportation, Information Media, and Telecommunications, Hiring and Real Estate Services, Finance and Rental, and Professional, Scientific and Technical Services.
